Georgia Aquarium

In November 2001 Bernard Marcus announced his intention about presenting Atlanta with an aquarium that would encourage both education and economic growth. After visiting 56 aquariums in 13 countries with his wife, he donated $250 million toward what was to become Georgia Aquarium. Corporate contributions totaling an additional $40 million allowed the aquarium to open debt-free.

The Georgia Aquarium is a public aquarium in Atlanta, there live more than 100,000 animals, representing 500 species, and all of them live in pond marine or fresh water. There are different specimens from all over the world. Some notables ones are whole sharks, beluga whales, and bottlenose dolphins. This place inaugurated in 2005 and is one of the largest aquarium in the world.

Up to now, the Georgian Aquarium is the best place I have visited since a came to Atlanta.

One good things about aquarium is that in your birthday the access is free. Also, twice a year, Georgia Tech reserves the entire aquarium especially for its student, in such events the entrance in is pretty chip. Usually this events is at night.
